Well, here goes nothing! My first blog post. I've always been active, but more recently (a little over a month ago) I started really working my tail off at the gym and people have been asking for my workouts and/or meal plan. I am going to do my best to post as many as I can! But, I should start out by saying that I am not trying to be a fitness competitor. I have so much respect for those women, it's just not for me! My goal is to be healthy. No, I do not eat all organic everything. No, I don't think GMOs are ending the world as we know it. No, I don't think that everyone needs to be doing what I am. Yes, I eat sweets. Yes, sometimes I do skip cardio. Yes, I drink on the weekends {and weekdays ;)}. I am not perfect, only human!

That being said, I am a firm believer that two things will help almost anyone to improve their health:
1. Listen to what your body is telling you.
If you've gone to the gym 4 days in a row and you're feeling fatigued, take a break! If you're craving salts, eat some pretzels! If you're craving something fatty, go get yourself some chic-fil-a! Now, I'm not saying do this everyday. "If you don't eat it, you won't crave it" is a proven fact from my experience. If you're not used to eating 'healthy' then you're going to be craving your bad habits a lot. It won't be easy, but it WILL be worth it!
2. Moderation. 
Moderation, moderation, moderation. Can't say it enough! A candy bar every once in a while is not going to ruin all of your hard work. Go ahead, splurge! Everything is okay in moderation. (OK maybe not EV-ER-Y-THING, but you get the point!)



I don't always have great workouts, I don't always eat 'healthy', I get discouraged sometimes, but I don't ever give up. I hope I can motivate you to do the same :)
